American Mommy--your displays are so creative. I really like them.

As for displaying AG dolls...what I did for Molly was clear off an entire shelf on my bookcase for her. Since she's from the 40s, I put up some old pictures of famous movie stars from her time (Cary Grant, Lauren Bacall, etc.). I also have some movie pictures up from the 1950s, which I realize is anachronistic, but I figure Molly might've enjoyed these movies as a teenager/adult.

There are other things as well--such as a picture of the Queen Mother (because Molly has an interest in British royalty--unfortunately, I couldn't find any pix of Queen Elizabeth II in her teens), a small map of England to remind her of her father serving overseas, a homemade wooden nighttable, and a homemade embroidered blanket. So I now consider that bookshelf to be Molly's display case AND mini bedroom.

I am working on mine again..... I finally have the space. Only I have got so many dolls that I can't keep them all in it...so I don't know what I am going to display the rest of them!

So I've volunteered my husband to make dolly rooms for my daughter's bedroom. I figure it will be a good summer project for us to decorate them (and get some of my Stardust Classics stuff out of storage as well as our AG stuff. I know that a bunch of you have them...how big are they? What have you all found works to fit furniture, but maximize dolly storage.
Thanks
Sarah

AmericanMommy, your doll rooms are beautiful! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Very creative.

I display Molly and some of her items on a tall dresser we have in our bedroom. I change things around for variety and sometimes Molly is displayed during special celebrations on a table in the hallway.

I have an adorable Shabby Chic corner cabinet that my sister gave me for my birthday last year. It certainly is the perfect size for Kirsten and Lissie to stand on top of, and I could also display a picture frame and candle too; but when I got Rory, I moved the extra pieces so that just the dolls could stand on top. Plus if I want to set any of their accessories out there's still a bit of room.

Here's a picture that best shows what the cabinet looks like.

This just shows the front behind Kirsten, and there's lots more pics of it in my albums. It works perfectly now, but I don't know what I'll do when I get Elizabeth later this summer. DH has already asked me where she will go since there's not room for her where the girls are now. I guess I'll figure that out later.
